Kyle checked on a portal dyno........they want $1500 up front. If we charged $40 for 3 pulls........we'd need 40 cars to participate just to break even.
He said he would be best to wait until Feb to make final arrangements.....we'll see how many people would be interested.

I had a good time last year even though the turnout was pretty low. I enjoyed the week at the beach anyway. I'll definitely attend again in 2010 but hope that it's not held the same week as Mustang week.

infinte, hows the website coming along?
also, i have been contacting shops, and it looks as of right now that theres a big possibilty of having two well known late model GM shops down there from around the general area. not gonna ay any names yet....but im pretty sure everyone has heard of them, and they should be able to bring some sweet rides and set up tables to do some vending!
also, mobile dyno is in the works, and we will be certain around february whether or not they will be able ot attend, but right now it is looking good!

We made BIG progress on show plans for today. I'll let Terry (WipFbody) update with all the details, since he set this up....but we have found someone to completely run this show, which will include TV and radio advertising, music, tons of classes. That's all for now!
Date for the event has been SET for July 16-18 with the show being on July 17th. This is the weekend before Mustang Week starts. More to come when Terry gets on in a few mintues...

Ok guys....as Kyle stated we have hooked up with Koss Motorsports (KMS)which will run the show for us. KMS runs shows year round and as Kyle said even has a new TV Show that starts Jan 14. If all goes well ......we should get TV coverage for Fbody Beach week.
Steve Koss was very receptive to helping us (he owns a Camaro)......he wants to make this show rival Mustang week in every aspect.
THE KEY TO MAKING THIS REALITY.....IS YOU!!!!!!

Another update......there will be 27 different Fbody classes. Each generation and level of customization (stock, mild, wild) will have its own class with 1st and 2nd place. Also, there will be non-FBody classes and a show separate for the non-FBody cars. In addition....there will be 10-15 specialty awards that we aren't yet 100% sure of (best paint, best engine bay, best wheels, best stance, best exhaust, etc).
This is looking to turnout nice, as over $1000 will be spent on awards. Expect show entry to be in the $20-$25 range depending on what type of car you bring. Also, the location has not been determined yet, but it will more than likely be in the North Myrtle Beach area, since the city of Myrtle Beach ahs noise ordinances that will significantly limit what we can do!

Very interested. Im gonna shoot it by some of the Upstate NY guys. I cant definitely say I will participate tho. A lot can happen between now and then.
If possible, pics of the event from previous years will help me drum up some interest from the north east.
