Default Painted wheels

A question to all the guys who have painted their own wheels : What did you guys do with the weights? IF you removed them How so with out damaging them? I plan on painting my wheels next weekend but i want to know what soe of you guys did with he weight cause if you just leave them on you have a silver spot on your wheel next time you get them rotated.

take it off sand-prime-paint the wheels. Then take them to tire shop have them either static balance it or balance with stickie weights so there is no weight on the outside lip.

it does depend on how good of shape the rim is in, from my expireinces sticky weights are not very sticky, they need a very clean surface to stick too.

True, but just make sure the inside of the rim is clean so they can mount the sticky weight or even put the crimped weights on the inside of the rims' lip.
