Default replace turn signal housing

does anyone know how to replace the turn signal light housings?

I'm not sure on the trans-am, but my understanding on the formula/firebird is that the bumper has to come off because they slide up and the bumper support is in the way. Trans-am is likely different, but the bumper might still have to come off, easiest way to find out unless someone else responds is to take that panel off that connects the inner fender and the bumper off. Take a peak

never done it, but i believe it can be done without taking the bumper off. i believe its just a few bolts.

i would remove the whole mudflap, not just the access panel, so you have a lot of free room to work with

I replaced the turnsignal housings on my formula without removing the front bumper. it was pretty easy. I did it on a saturday afternoon. I imagine the TA is the same. I had to unbolt the bottom of the bumper and drop the splash guards so I could get access, but it wasnt that bad at all.

I replaced them on my TA withOUT taking off the bumper, just gotta go from underneath (like you are changing the lightbulb)

ok underneath using the flap is the correct way. the easiest is to have a small wrench. i think 9/32 but i have been wrong befor
