Default Removing Silver Stripes on my SS

Ok so i bought a NBM camaro ss and it has silver stripes that are painted on. The guy i bought it from told me that the clear was scuffed lightley and then the silver stripes were painted on and then recleared.

My ? is can these be removed without messing up the NBM. There are a few rock chips in the front and the paint like peals of like a paint chip like the size of a quarter and the blue that is showing is fine. I dont no much about paint but what i was thinking is taking the blue off and then wet sanding the silver untill it comes off does anyone no if that would work and then once the silver is gone just reclear the blue? Any help or thoughts?

If the paint peels, it all has to be sanded off, primed, and repainted. If you try to repair just the chips chances are the rest will peel later. Stipes need to be sanded out mostly and primed and repainted as well. They will show up later if you don't with faint outlines.

Your pic don't work, FYI. In theory it should be possible to sand the stripes of and stop at the color. But you have to remember how thin paint / clear really is. The odds of it being sanded evenly are pretty slim. If it were me I'd cut the whole thing down, repaint, and clear. If you really wanna try it go for it. Again, in theory it's possible. But very hard to do. Just be prepared to repaint everything.
