Repainting the SS .. what color black?
Im having some body work done and my entire car repainted in the next couple of months. Its a '00 black ss. Since the whole car is being repainted black... I figure why not paint a different color black?
maybe a metallic? please give me some good ideas for a good black to paint it. It doesnt have to be gm at all. Just want to hear some ideas .

black is the best looking color IF you meticulously take care of it.

I vote for either
Viper Steel Grey
or Ford Sonic Blue

If you are going to go gray, i recommend Mistubishi Graphite Gray Metallic A39.
If you want blue, go with his suggestion. Ford sonic blue pearl is a siiiiiccccckkkkk color.

Black is Black. Unless you're talking about Gloss, Metallic, Matte, etc. There is no such thing as different shades of the color because it'll still be just black. If I got the opportunity to paint my car it would be anything but Black. Just nothing exciting about the color when there are colors like EBM, Cyber Gray, SOM, etc, etc. Not to mention Black shows off every last blemish in the paint. What's worse is on top of that you have to wash & wax it practically every week to get a finish that last's about a day or two. before pollen, dirt, etc starts showing off big time.
If Black was my only color option available to paint my car I'd definitely go with a Metallic just because it would hide blemishes & dirt a tiny bit better.
