SS hood question...

Hey every1...I have a black Z28..to night i was looking around shops for my sound system i passed by a boy kits shop i saw the SS hood (the fiber glass thingy only in the pic below) my question is has anyone done it, if so pics plz? will it end up factory looking ? they guy asked for 27 US dollars the paint should cost me around like 50 dollars or so... wt do u guys think? go or no go?

gonna take a lot of body work to get it looking anywhere near decent. it would need to be attached/molded/blended to try and get it to look factory.

If your gonna put it on a metal hood it won't last to long without cracking out. Metal and fiber glass expand and contract differantly and it will crack out
