Default Custom painted FAST pics

Pics of a custom painted FAST I just finished. It's Lemans Blue from a C6 Corvette with silver accents.

"Smoothing takes some time. For the FAST, I usually start with a 80 grit to remove rough texture, then follow behind with 180 to remove the fuzz from the 80. Follow that with a plastic primer, let dry overnight and then hit it with 320 before spraying."

Is this the process you used that you posted in this thread? https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...intakes-3.html

Actually with this one I used a plastic sealer which we've started to get from our paint company recently. It's basically a non-stop primer... 30 min flash time and spray the base. Of course, the finish is all going to depend on prep work. A lot of times after primer, there will still be some fine hairs that need to be sanded smooth to get a good finish.

That's pretty sharp looking, and like the blue a lot.

How well does paint hold up on the intake compared to say powdercoating?

I've never had any problems with the paint on any of the intakes.

I'm not trying to solicit business... just merely posting some pics.

What others pm me is not in my control.
