Default Need one last little thing to get my car on the road

I got got in an accident last year ( literally days before parking it for the winter ).
I thought I had got all the parts I needed, the work on the car was going great. BUT yesterday I got a call from the body shop saying that they need the assembly that goes under the aircleaner as it is also the radiator mount.
The dealer wants something like $400.00.
Is there something aftermarket out there? The air cleaner assembly got pretty mangled but I was just going to go with a lid... not sure what to do now?
Ideas? This is the absolutely last part I need to get my car on the road so I'm trying my best not to rush it...

Are you referring to the black plastic radiator shroud that the Lid snaps onto? If so I'd check eBay or the classifieds on here to find someone who is parting out their car.

Yah that's exactly what I'm talking about. Part of me is just saying I should go to the dealer and get my car on the road...
But I'm trying my best to be prudent, so I thought I'd check around and see where I can get a used one.

I'll try those two options though, thank you.

There was a sponsor selling WS6 lower airboxes for like $120 shipped. Check with SDPC.

You could always check junkyards as well if you have any close around you. I wouldn't assume it would be a very popular piece.

Can't find this part anywhere! Looks like I'll be forking over the $400.00 to buy it from the dealer.

Check out Retrolsx on here. He was parting out a ws6.
Have you tried car-part dot com?

But I believe sponsors will have something for you regardless. And cheaper than $400.

Yah I'll look around... I think the hardest part right now is describing to people exactly what part I'm looking for. Does anyone have a diagram of the front end of the LS1?
Like the air cleaner, rad support... all that?
Then i could just circle the part and send it to wreckers... see what they have?

yes it is called a lower air box. and there is a difference between stock configuration and a ram air setup. also.. the camaros and firebirds are both identical. anyone parting an ls1 equipped car should have one. I actually found a ram air peice here on ls1tech. just do a search for "air box" in the parts classified.
