Default wetsand question... and pics of my freshly painted graphite gray metallic camaro!!

well my car was jus painted, we still have to paint the sail panel and berger panel but what should i wetsand the car with. the guy who painted my car is MIA so i will be doing it. i have experience with buffing but i want a second opinion. but heres some pics..... ENJOY!

Since the car has to be back in the booth to paint the sail panel, it might be easier to wetsand and reclear the rest of the car in lieu of buffing it.

You can read all the online tips you want, that car looks way too nice to learn how to buff on! Can you find someone to at least give you a hand with part of it?

Oh yea and it was painted in my garage.. not bad for a garage job huh.. lol. not a spec of dirt in it at all! it came out great. i used to work in a detail shop and had to buff cars alot.. i just dont know what grit paper to use.. and i got a couple people that would help me as well

Color looks Freaking bad ***!!! How many coats of clear have you put on and how heavy did you put them on? I would say you should be pretty safe with 1500, then 2000, then 2500 or 3000 then buffing with compound. My uncle own his own body shop in louisiana and when he did my other uncles 71 chevelle ss he said he put 4 heavy coats of clear on and started with 800 then, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 to make sure to get all the orange peel out. it all depends on how much clear you put on. I wouldnt touch stock paint with any less than 2500 cause of how thin the clear is.

thanks guys! yea i was very happy with the way it turned out! with the clear i had we were able to get about 2 heavy coats and then a third coat kinda thin.. i wish i wouldve been able to have more clear but thats all i had so w/e it is what it is ya know
