Default Can U paint aluminum rims?

Hey guys i was wondering if i can paint my rims on my 01 trans am? They are the brushed aluminum rims. And what grit should I use to sand them down?

I would guess 600 grit you don't wanna go too coarse but enough to take clear coat off.

600, 800 and a self etching primer and you should be good to go. I did these:

i did mine as well. i used aircraft cleaner to strip the clear off, used 1000 grit and wet sanded them, used self etching primer and gloss black paint.

Sand, prime and paint.. After you tape of course..and those ^^looks great..

Duffster, I'd really like to know what paint you used on those wheels. I'm refinishing the wheels on my truck and I want some contrast between the tires and wheels like this, and this color is awesome.
