Default best place to install hood pins for ls1 camaro

Hello, im new to the site, I got an 02 z28 and I got an aftermarket ss hood and need to know the best place to install hood pins

On the car maybe? LOL. But for real though I have seen em on the post where the intake is. To the left and right of the intake lid. Me and the fiancee went and looked at an SLP SOM Vert A4 and they had them right there and they had cut holes in the face of that piece so they could get in there to tighten the pin that runs through the hood to the car. Then naturally drilled holes in the hood to where that pin could go through. Other than that spot, IDK where else to put them for em to look decent and still function like they should. But maybe someone else will come in and give you a better location.

I don't think hood pins look good on f bodys,unless its a all out race car,but unless you need them I would leave them off,there was a red ws6 in GMHTP that had them ,go on there web site and check it out I think it was the nov. Issue, I just think they look cheap and crappy,the red ta was one sweet ride but the pins for sure looked cheap on it

Streetracer had a formula with like 10 dzus fasteners, It didnt look too bad, im trying to dig up a picture.

with only two pins can you take off your regular latch? will that hold a hood? (sorry to hijack, but not many hood pin threads)

i have a full pin off hood my back pins are attached to former mounting brakets for hood shocks, and the front two i used the location of former rubber hood height adjusters let me find a pic brb

on the rears i used a steel nipple and 1/2 stainless bolt and a small section of angle tomount the rears,pm me if you need more pics
