Default black hood on red car

Just putting the feelers out to get some opinions. Car is a 98 ws6 that is red. I was thinking of painting the hood black as well as the rear hatch and spoiler. I think the scheme would look good with black wheels. What do you guys think?

you can pull it off if you get it done right... Camaros can pull it off easy because the hoods are not so square or edged like the transams ( because the T/A's got the pop up lights) ... Somthing like this?

Sorry to threadjack, do you have a photo of a Camaro that in your opinion looks good with a black hood that is also red?

I'm trying to picture what you're talking about, but I keep thinking back to ones I've seen that just make the car look mismatched.

I think it could look good like said on a Camaro but have maybe red accents on the hood. If not, to me it would look like something like a Honda with a black hood trying to play it off like a carbon fiber hood. And I have seen that before cause around here, there's no telling what you will see when it comes to those 4 cylinder guys.

A car with a mis-matched black hood just looks like it got into a front end accident and they were too cheap to repaint it the original car colour, or it looks like a cheap ricer trying to get the carbon fiber look. Just my opinion of course

if you're gonna do it go with flat black! of course my opinion may have something to do with my own car.. also you should put some thought into shaving that rear wing, i love that look.
