I say keep it but I am biased too. I would like to pose a question though for any paint guys here. I'm wondering if there is a way to maybe add a little more pop to Pewter if one were in need of a repaint. Maybe some pearl, or different base coats. I dunno. Just something to make it stand out a bit more. This way you would not have to repaint engine the engine bay, door jams etc but maybe have something that just stood out a bit more.

Real speed is on a bike. that's cute.
I know a whole lot of people that would strongly disagree, and change your mind about that little quote. Bikes aren't meant to be fast in straight line, they are made for the turns.
And all that less weight better power weight etc is all good and stuff. But when your aerodynamics kick in at 100+ and you're just an oversized brick flying through the air it sucks when that cancels out all the other pros.

I would keep it the same color due to the extra work involved in a complete color change.
I will be learning to paint here real soon. I'm a mechanic not a body man. I bought my Pewter Camaro wrecked and replaced the hood fender and bumper cover. I had an old friend come paint the car. Before the car was finished he went to jail. So now I'll be learning to paint. Going to practice on the old parts first.

Never said I was talking about a straight line. I'm not really a drag fan myself, grant it I do it. but autocross is a passion of mine.(no disrespect)
Like he said though, I would keep the same color get some stripes or something. a new front lip change the stance up. Its amazing what those little details will do for you
* or do what i was going to do and paint the top half of the car black same as the mirrors. leave the wing and everything down pewter.

thanks again for all opinions so far.

I am in the same ball park as you, i love the pewter in some lighting and hate it in others. But i have done a few more things to mine to spice it up.

that looks great, especially with the new wheels. the only thing i dont like is the "ls1 ram air" lettering on the hood. the new wheels def make it look better. i dont like chrome or even polished, i am going for more of the blacked out look. i am thinking of painting the wheels with this theme. i think it will great against pewter. gunmetal center with black lip
