crystal red cadillac... sexy as hell... also, depending on your budget, if you are looking for metallic and have a painter EXPERIENCED enough.. look at some HOK candy's... they have some SICK dark red/wine metallics..

if i'm gonna paint a car, i'd rather do a aftermarket color so it gets recognition.

Arrow

I ended up choosing a Mitsubishi color red pearl metallic. It's 2 stage where most of the other paints I liked we 3 stage. Only a couple of shades different from my MMM.

+1 if your going to spend the money for a paint job, at least let it be noticible.

Unfortunately my money tree is bare! Alot more money for a 3 stage paint job and also don't want to change the color to drastically. Because engine bay will look stupid.

....and both Red Jewel and especially Crystal Red are quite a bit lighter than Monteray. I know ya already made the color selection, but, a good OEM GM color match to the Monteray with the characteristics you were describing woulda been the 03 50th anny Vette color. It was a 1 year only color for this car and darker than Magnetic Red, Crystal or Red Jewel.

I remember when I bought my Camaro, I didn't really care what color it was. I just wanted a low mileage LS1, from '01 or '02. So I chose arctic white, not caring much about the color, more about the car itself. While that remained true for awhile, I began to realize that "arctic white" is pretty plain jane, and doesn't look that great. The car just sorta...blends in. I have seen lots of colors I would rather have my car, the factory blue that the G8's have is nice, black is good, the sunset orange metalic, commonly seen on the trans am's and corvettes is nice.

only good thing about white is it's a good summer color. Living in the deep south it gets hotter than hell out, I know having white helps decrease the heat immensely. For that I am thankful that my car is white.
