Try the plasti-dip on them then decide, it's temporary and peels right off, check out the sticky on it.

Black with a polished lip always looks nice. That's how my Z06 rims are.

Yeap, just clean them good tape n paper, spray n untape(I would do one wheel at a time so the edge won't pull up) theirs more directions in the sticky with some pics of how people have used it. It will give u a ideal of what it'll look like without being permanent.

For those who have done this... how do you maintain them clean? is plasti dip delicate? will it peal off every now and when when you wash your car, etc?

I used a wash mitt with soap and water to clean my wheels(plasti dipped matte black).

No peeling what so ever.

1. Remove rims.
2. Remove center cap.
3. Tape valve stem.
4. Clean rims.
5.Tape off what you don't want sprayed. I actually didn't tape anything since tape wouldn't stick to my tires very well. Then just took a piece of stiff paper to cover up the edges as I got close to them.
6. Apply 3 coats or to pretty thick. 0.5 can per rim.
7. Replace rim on car.
