I am having some paint work done to my car and am repainting the pillar behind the windows that goes overtop behind the t-tops. Currently they are black, but I have the option of painting it body color, or redoing it in black. I can't make up my mind. Let me know what you think. Here are some pictures of my car.

I had a 95 Quasar Blue Camaro before I got the SS so I've had both. Personally, I like that piece to match the side-view mirrors, so I'd either have that piece painted body color, or change the side-view mirrors to black.
Silver/Pewter doesn't show scratches as bad as black does so it'd be easier to maintain if it was painted.

Ehh.... Color matched wouldn't be bad, but matching it to that exact shade isn't that easy unfortunately. Is it really worth disrupting the flow of the top half of the car? It all blends in being black, I think it'd just look out of place being painted.
Personally, I think you should keep it black for a little while longer until you're ready to replace the sail panel, because it's only a matter of time before the adhesive eats through it. You don't want to pay for paint twice, do ya?

I did not know the sail panel needs to be repalced. I think the adhesive might be eating through mine, it has small bubbles coming through the black, and spots where the black is peeling off. It is at the paint shop now, and they were going to sand it down and respray it black or paint it the same color as the body, but maybe it just needs replaced? Where can i get a new sail panel?

Honestly, it's not a BIG issue, but you may see it moreso when it's another color. Who knows. I'd just feel bad if it got worse and you ended up having to replace it after a few years because it got worse.
Sanding it down won't do much other than delay the next time you'll see it.
You can read about the recall here:

6LE has some that just started shipping a few weeks ago. They have carbon fiber and fiberglass replacements.

I'm not sure as to anyone who has them on yet, but have seen pictures from buyers and they look damn good.
Carbon fiber would be a finished product, but the fiberglass will need some slight work for minor imperfections from what I've seen.
I just though well, if you're paying an upwards of $300 or so for painting as a ballpark figure, you may end up having to do it twice, so why not go for a once and done.
