Default LS1 front end on an LT1 Trans AM

I recently got a banged up LT1 Trans AM...needs new fenders, bumper, hood-light wreck, chassis and other **** is fine. If i am going to be replacing the fenders and all that why not make it look like an LS1 right? Is there anyone out there or a thread that has done this?

I've done the conversion. It's pretty simple.

Anything to look out for? I'm concerned doing the head lights-is it pretty straight forward?

Also the front bumper do you need to do more than just replace the bumper cover?

i see them on craigslist all the time. You should just go with the lt1 ws6 front end, much cleaner and its hard to find clean lt1 birds anymore

this isn't "clean" It's been in a light wreck and i'm gonna be replacing these body pieces regardless so since I'm doing the work why not upgrade the appearance right?...I'm not taking a perfect LT1 and then chopping it up if thats what your thinking

I swapped front ends on my car a few months ago. Everything went on pretty easy and took about 2 days. Getting the hood and headlights to sit perfect was the hardest part. It cost around $1500 in parts but it could be a little more or less depending on where you get them. I sold my LT1 front clip for about $750 to recuperate some of the cost.
Check out my cardomain page (sig) it has pics of the swap and the car while it was apart.

Parts Needed:

Bumper cover

Fenders and fender brackets

Hood and latch

Headlight assembly with brackets

Fog lights + brackets, parking lights, side markers

Bumper cover support panel (header panel)

Front impact beam and impact absorber (foam)

Didn't know your post was too, as there was no 'hint' towards it.
