help me pick a new color HOK?
ive been mulling this over for months now and its crunch time for starting paint work. its a 2000 TA, going all out with it. smoothing whole engine compartment, removing as much wiring as possible, jams of course, some air brush work and graphics. would like to do a candy so ive been looking at house of kolor stuff. I did a sprayout of the cobalt blue but its too purple for my taste i think. pics of stuff would be awsome!

Some pics of the T/A's that we've painted for ideas. pretty much these are all three stage paint jobs. Paint chips can be hard to determine weather or not its the color your after until you see the whole thing. Kandys/Pearls pop like crazy in the sun, You will see the effect quickly compared to a regular one/two step paint job. Ernest

Viper Blue Bike
The left 350z is pearl white
We sell our own black with a kandy that we mixed up ourselves. The Lotus has it on the wheels, and rear diffuser and when the sun hits it, it looks awesome. You can't see the effects in the pics. like you would in person though. But as far as paint colors go there is no limit in what can be mixed up.

The best thing to do is buy a color chip book from HOK, they show you what the candy will look with different ground coats, candies can be many different shades according to what you use under them, they make a more green shade candy blue also, tangerine, apple red, burgundy, brandywine, and colbalt blue are some of my favorites.

I looked online forever & couldnt find what I wanted But went to a HOK dealer & looked at the chip book All I can say is if the shade of apple red I like is brighter in the sun Im all over it lol Do yourself a favor & go to a dealer with a chip book Even then as stated above if you want even more custom you can add a few drops of another color I really wanted a brighter kandy red So people wont say oh thats a ford color lol Most people spray over silver or gold & then candy Theres a thread on here with exotic colors & the Kobalt blue car is sick So is the Hellfire Kandy car Im tryin to keep it red since my car was a factory flame red If you have a lil money to spare get an airbrush kit & experiment BUT make sure you keep track of how many drops of another color you added

what about Blade Silver Metallic or Cyber Grey Metallic. personally there is no greater color in the world! then navy blue metallic!!!. but i always love cyber gray metallic it brings out the lines in a car so much. there is a c5z f/s on corvette forums in cyber gray and it looks incredible
