Angry How bad did i mess up? *pics*

while changing my driver side headlight i accidentally chipped about an inch of the side fender (upper right corner). my question is about how much is this gonna run me in cost or am i gonna have to replace the whole side fender?

I did the same thing. Except I accidentally bumped off like an inch and a half. I'll have to ask my buddy what exactly we're doing to fix it. I know we're not replacing the whole fender over it, though.

Feather edge the chip, and repaint and clear the area. If your an amateur, you can take your paint code to your local paint supply and they can make your exact color into a spray can.

Yes I don't think you can make a permanent fix unless you replace the fender. If you have the broke away piece maybe you can try but eventually it will most likely break again or just look like crap and annoy you every time you look at it.

Sorry for you misfortune.

^ That's honestly what it looks like, unless you take the ghetto route and super glue it back together.

I'll take it to the shop to see what they say but I could imagine them either putting bondo on your entire fender to fix it or replacing the whole thing. Good luck dude and let us know what happens.

That can be repaired. sem and 3m make some good plastic repair products. I would take it to a good body shop and see if they will do it. My boss always has us fixing stuff like that. they might not want to warranty the repair, but its worth a shot
