Satin Black Engine Bay on a Budget?
wht kind of decent paint/clear is out there in small quantities to do the engine bay?
through reading, im going to stay away from the duplicolor stuff. so the question is what would b a decent paint to use and how much does it usually take to do the engine bay(using a 2k paint btw).
thanks for the help.

You can buy a quart which is pretty cheap. I have painted a few cars with their products and they make awesome stuff

jet black with a matte clear? or were you suggesting the satin chassis black
also, what would a satin or matte look like with a gloss/semi gloss clear?

Personally I have never used it under those conditions but if you do all your prep work right it shouldn't be a problem. I have seen lots of people paint their engine bays with normal auto paint without any problems.

I got eastwoods 2k ceramic chassis satin black kit that came with their primer as well. I love this stuff!!! I had used por15 in the past and that stuff is junk imo.
It was easy to use--I didn't even thin it and shot with a 1.8 tip. Let me know if you have any questions.
