I did mine this weekend. All I needed were two sets of vice grips, regular pliers, needle nose pliers, 10mm hex driver, and a self tapping screw. I unbolted my fenders and used the pliers to kinda straighten the tab. I pushed the fender in for measurement purposes and kept bending the tab till it fit correctly. I used the needle nose pliers to get further up the tab so I could push it further back. Took about an hour to get both done. The previous owner did the hammer trick and it didnt work. So that caused one piece of the plastic to break right where the bolt hole was. So I got a self tapping screw and a washer and fixed that. I would recommend a heating torch on the plastic if it has been that way for a while. Mine cracked some but never broke off.
