Default Som fomula, thinking about painting sail and mirrors black

My SOM formula has faded mirrors, and I was already planning on painting them black along with the sail panel.

Any pictures of SOM car's with black sails and mirrors?

I did this to my old white LT1 bird and it looked sick, not sure how it will look on the formy

Unless you have a camaro, don't paint the sail panel...

Sounds like it would look decent. The first couple years on 4th gen camaros had black mirrors, and i've seen people with newer 4th gens paint them black. Looks good I think.

Obviously the v8 camaros had the black sail panel, and I really like that look. Can't imagine it would look BAD on a firebird/transam, as long as you have tinted windows..

Maybe someone can photoshop it!

Not SOM (or formulas), but here's a couple.... stolen from google image search...

This might be SOM, but its similar.

I'd say do it, looks nice.

If you are hesitant, try it with plasti-dip first, then you can peel it off if you change your mind.

That looks awesome. If my car wasn't already black I'd have the panel painted.

I say don't do it, but you could rattle can plasti dip the sail and mirrors to get a idea if you would like it on your car in person

Sail panel wise, I could go either way with it. A Firebird can get away with mirrors black. Camaro with black mirrors screws with the flow of the fender where it meets the mirror. IMO.
