Default I want to swap door skin ?

I want to put a manual window door on my car and take off the electric one that's on my car. I have new paint on my car. Wondering if a body shop can take the door skin off a donor door and put my door skin on so I won't have to repaint ?

probably easier to swap the window assemblies to manual on your existing door

Ok I'll look into it. But my window is a little off track. So just want to go manual and not worry about it any more. Thanks.

DON'T do that! the doors are the same. All you have to do is change the window
regulator. I did the swap to my 2001 ss camaro. If you need manual window regulators and cranks I will sell you a set.

you'll have to swap the regulator (which is the closest thing to a "track" these windows have) when you do the manual swap.

also if it's an alignment issue look here and try to fix it before you spend money on something you don't need. https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...-write-up.html

I know you're not asking me but manual windows is one of my favorite things about my car. I've never been in an F-Body that had good working power windows. Just one less thing to worry about.

My window is not moving up or down as it should. I'm thinking it might be related to window motor. The motor works fine I changed them 4 years ago. But I did not put lock tight on the screws. I didn't take the panel off to see what the problem is but if I change to manual their will be no issues with the fiberglass not holding everything in place. Manual means no repair problems. I changed the door to manual on a different Camaro but I was lucky to find the same color door at a junk yard. This car has does not have the stock color. Thanks for the link Daniel.
