Default Rear Ended

I guess I'm in the market for a couple of rear lenses, thanks to a driver that wasn't paying any attention behind me (probably sucking on a blunt) as I was driving in to work a few minutes ago.

Any good deals on those lenses?

I scored a set of very good condition lenses for 400.00. I settled with the other driver for 500 bucks ... and so I made a hundred. Oh well ... look at the bright side.

It was a Jeep that plowed into me and their bumper was level with my lenses. Also I have a sub box that most likely helped with having further damage.

If he rear ended you why would you settle for 500, lay it all on his policy and let your local Cadillac dealers shop do the repair..
At least in my state the rear car takes 100% of it.. You don't even have to bring your own company in...

Heck I got 1500 bucks from the other guys insurance once just because I was rear ended and it probably hurt.. ?? Heck All I wanted was a bumper..

There was no damage except the lenses. I wasn't looking to profit from it nor put it in a body shop when I could handle the repair in 30 minutes in my driveway. Actually it was a nice upgrade as one of my lenses had some dark spots and my replacements as good as new.

yeah, easy repair, except for the passenger side, have to remove the spare tire to get that last wingnut off, but other than that isn't too bad

Ah,, yea,, I recently had very similar damage,, first quite was about 500 for a new housing and a rubber ring,, (BMW) then as they got in,, it turned out it had bent the trunk hinge, that bent a piece of internal body work (Affecting the rear strut) and then,,, and then,,, it ended up at about 4500... Totaled car.. From 5 feet you couldn't tell but at about 65 the rear would rumble.. It was causing misalignment in the CV joint..
