(EDIT: New stuff starts on post 117)
(EDIT: Current project is on post 80 if you just want to skip all this dreaming and wishing for the past 2 years.)
I've been wanting to do something to my stock hood for a while. Here's one of my ideas.
What about hood vents combined with a reshaped nose?

Maybe the nose without the vents or vice versa? Comments?

Jeez man, haven't you been paying attention? I'm wanting to add heat extractors in the sides of the hood. I mentioned earlier about clearing out the battery area and the fuse area so I could add some fan cooled heat exchangers in those areas. Probably for an oil cooler and a power steering cooler. Then those heat extractors on the hood would be fully functional. See? I guess I wasn't real clear on that before.
Or I could say when your the thread originator you can mumble on about any subject you want. It doesn't have to make sense. Sometimes I go way off the reservation.

lol yeah u do have alot of ideas, that's probably why.
sorry but would the heat extractors be over the engine or towards the sides over the wheel wells? im not to sure how efficient a oil/sterring cooler would be effective there.
but if it were placed over the wheels mounting would be simple and the exterior hood design would look better imo

you were asking about a hood latch/hood pins, have you looked at the aerocatch like they use on the austin martin GT2 cars?

FWIW, I'm also looking for a nice set of heat extractors (steel or 'glass, but I want something that I can mold in or at least make it look like it was meant to be there, so an ABS stick on thing won't work), but in my case it's a form follows function thing, I really need to get more heat out of the car without having more room for a bigger radiator.

I think their too big myself. That's why I said their interesting as opposed to they would look good on the car.
I'm slowly putting together a picture of all 3 elements I mentioned earlier.

I just need to add the air extractor Vents on the hood.
Instead of a straight cut, I'm toying with some slightly curved cuts. I could then bend the backside down slightly to create a crescent shape Vent.
