Help me decide on a color!!!
I saw another thread and this seemed the perfect place to ask it since I lack any imagination.
I have a '67 Camaro RS that I race and as of today it's almost stripped down to the bare metal and well... I have no color picked out
Here it is, soon it'll have wheelie bars, parachute, aluminum spoiler and 5 inch cowl (for visualiztion).
Here's the options I'm looking at...
1. Candy Apple Red w/ White Diamond bumblebee stripe (one that goes on the front valence and wraps down the fender)
2. White Diamond w/ Black bumblebee stripe
3. Hugger Orange (anyone know one w/ metallic?) w/ White Diamond bumblebee
4. Silver Metallic w/ Black bumblebee (one of our buddies has a '69 that's silver w/ black ss stripes so I'm not sure I want to go this route)
5. Electron blue w/ White Diamond bumblebee (My '69 is already basically electron blue, I'm not sure I want two blue cars )
6. Any other suggestions?
This color I FREAKING LOVE but it's listed under Candy Apple Red but it seems too light, any idea if it's another color and if so what color you think it is?
I know some people may say you decide, it's your car but that's the problem... I can't! Thanks.

that could easily be a candy apple red mixed with an orange tint. Sort of make an orange-red candy paint. You can print that picture in high def (as high as possible) and take it around to your local paint shops and ask for advice. People in the business deal with color codes and **** like that all day theyll be able to give you way better advice than anybody here. If thats the color you like then paint it that color. dont settle for anything youll always regret it. i vote the mystery color!!

I looked at the Kandy Tangerine but for some reason I don't like colors like that. Burnt Orange, Sunset Orange etc.
I've been looking at House of Kolors paint chips online but I think I need to go look at one in person, kind of hard to get the effect. Regardless the cost of the paint isn't a huge deal, it'd be nice to get some GM color or something but I'm only going to do it once so I'll spend what it takes. Any more ideas?

As of right now I'm sitting between hugger orange (but I want metal flake in it), electron blue and kandy apple red. Regardless I want some trick color, I'm going for new colors with a stock paint sheme. I'm not into the Kandy Tangerine but I like where you're going with that suggestion.
My dad's race car is Hugger Orange so that's my only problem with that, my '69 is basically electron blue but I'd like to mix it up... I'm leaning on Kandy Apple Red but I want a way to lighten it up a touch.
Would laying a white basecoat and putting the Kandy Apple Red on top help lighten it up to get it near the Escalade?

Thanks. I talked to the guy that paints our cars today (he does awesome work) and he told me the same thing. I actually saw a car that had the same thing done and I liked that color a lot.
Now I'm either going to lay a metallic silver base under the Kandy Apple Red or go Electron Blue. I guess the same would go for the blue? If I got a metallic silver base then it would lighten it up?
I really like it on this car and I think it may be ligthened up...
(maybe this guy posts on here?)
