Default HOK Black Metalflake...Your thoughts

How would it look for a Metalflake, offered by HOK-which I have experienced already in Silver Stainless...but in Black? Would it look ***? Or would you support the idea? Its flake mixed into the clear, over a base Onyx, or you could use HOK Black/Ebony.

Hey guys, remember you can get flakes in various sizes. Obviously the flakes on that Skyline were huge and put there to make a statement. I think if you used very small flakes you might pull it off. My first choice would be add some pearl or Kandy to the clear over the Onyx Black base and achieve a REALLY cool effect.

i think with the right combo of colors and way smaller flakes you can pull it off. Just my .02

just dont lay too much flake on it or it will look like a bass boat. We did a black car and put a real light coat of red mini flake on it at the shop. It came out pretty nice. The car looked red up close and black when you were far away from it.

I was going to say it reminds me of a Bass boat. Either that, or ruby red shoes from the Wizard of Oz. LOL...

Not a fan. It just reminds me of the above two....

I suppose it could be pulled off in black, but that silver skyline is disgusting... Makes it hard to believe any color would come out looking cool.

I had a 1979 Supra that was metallic black (gold flakes not silver like Chrysler currently offers). It was very pretty when clean & polished like any black car. Had all the problems you have keeping any black car up. Plus it was almost impossable to match when repairs were required. Just my 2 cents worth
