so my gf is going to ask me to prom, and is going to put 14,000.... yes as in thousands of post its on my SS.... and i want to make sure they arent going to **** up my paint beyond something a good wash and wax will take care of...

im pretty sure she is going to do it tomorrow night, so i kinda need to make sure that its going to be ok before this happens... so my friend can tell her not to before she does it and pisses me off really bad lol

If she really MUST do it, i would make sure there is a really good thick layer of wax and i wouldn't leave them (post-it notes) on there very long. The only form of "vandelism" i would let someone do to my car is TP.

My girlfriend did the same thing to me. I was in a real bad mood one day and she did it to cheer me up she said. No damage to my paint at all. Just make sure you dont leave them on long. The only thing I can see happening is a scratch from her belt from running around putting 14,000 on lol

What in the heck are you youngsters thinking these days? What's the purpose? I mean, seriously..

Even in my teen years, there was never anyone allowed to put anything on my car, let alone drive it. When someone goes jacking around with your car, it can't lead to anything positive, no matter how careful they claim they will be. I remember the youngster on here a few weeks back crying over the fact his car was wrecked, but the most ignorant thing was that he let his girlfriend race it... and that was why it got wrecked. What the????

I would tell her to find something else to do with her time. Play in the street or whatever...

Oh man... 14,000! I gotta see a picture of that ... I doubt it'll mess up your paint if you have wax on the car. My Dad owns an upholstery shop and they occasionally get upholstery glue on the paint and it'll come off without destroying the paint. They do use a special solvent to take it off though... I'm not sure what it is, but it's pretty amazing stuff. It'll dissolve just about any glue and not do anything to paint at all. I need to find out what is, but I know he buys it from some chemical supply place, and not a standard auto-parts supply house.

What was the purpose of her doing that if you already knew she was going to do it? Kinda defeats the surprise factor. She's committed though
