I am buying airbags right now, you need to replace both bag units and in some cases you will also need to replace the clockspring and deployment module if the stock units were fried when the bag popped.
You should beable to get all the parts for around 400 +/- through ebay or local parts yards or best yet the for sale forums here.

If they deployed, doesn't the dash need replaced also. I put a airbag in a older car I had, steering wheel only and was a 15 minute job, but never have messed with the F body ones.

Dateline did a story about shops installing **** airbags for like 100 bux so people could still drive their car, for 2 of them installed and certified or whatever i want to say it was like 1000 bux though... i don't think its cheap. I would say a grand MAX though.
Well usually the door over the passenger side gets tore up from hitting the windshield and needs replaced, mine did, and everyone saysthe dash peice that extends to the windsheld gets broken but mine is fine.
The only thing I guess you need to know is my stupid passenger side bag door hit the windshield so hard it cracked it up bad! so add a new windshield in there, about 250 bucks....

i put bags in my z28 last summer. i got them for a salvege yard for $250. including the brain box that was in that car and the entire dash. then i had to get a new clockspring 90 i think. and u have to change the clockspring if the bags go of or the airbag will stay on and they will not work. brain box also i believe u have to change. it took me all day to them both. sterring wheel about 20 min. though. just check your salvege yards cause they will give u everything cause it does them no good.
