Default molding.....clearcoat........you know the rest

well i picked up this ws6 about two weeks ago and tonight i got the idea to !molding! the car but i pulled off just the back peice on the drivers side and sure enough it was cleared over at some point

but other than that it seems like it was a quailty repair done cause everything is nice tight and fits well and i cant find any other faults just the damn clear was shot with the molding on my question is..............

can i pull the rest off and semi hide the marks (wetsand or somthing along those lines) or would i just have to reclear the whole thing??

oh the joy of buying a used car

It will always be a blemish there. Wet sanding may HELP but if you are taking the time to post this IMO you will never be happy with it like that unless you reclear the sides, which may bring another set of problems.

you may try wet sanding the area and buffing the whole car. I had something similar done on a truck.
