paint protection

hey guys,
im driving my car from CT to FL next week and was wondering if there was anything i can do besides waxing the front good to protect the paint. i found this http://www.duplicolor.com/products/shield.html, but cant find any info on how it actually works and affects the paint. i jsut had the car detailed a lil bit ago too. any ideas would be great.

blue painters tape

cover the pointed areas, won't hurt finish ,and comes off easy the was a post with some car withthe front covered.

just use a paste wax on the front....put on several times and thats about all you can do...do get close to people!

yea it has goood wax on it. painters tape huh? thats actually a good idea. only thing i can think of is if it rains on the way down.

that duplicolor stuff doesnt work all that great. ive also seen people put that bumper and hood protector coating on there and not only does it look like crap, but if you have any texture in the paint it will bring out alll the texture and make it look even worse.

once i get to FL i would remove it. im thinking im gonna try to tape it tomm. and hope for the best with that. i knwo it wont do much for rocks but it should help with bugs and once i hit FL the lovebugs will it the car alive!
