whats the best way to make wheel flares like wider to make a car look more aggrasive? Is plastic filler the best way to go?

What, like the Dick Harrell cars? It takes TONS of work. Do a search for...I think it was Wheel 2 Wheel that did one not that long ago. There were tons of pics from start to finish. Looked damn good too.

ugh, dont use bondo to build things with people. make the flares out of steel. if you have to ask, you should pay a professional. if you cant spell easy words like, aggressive, you should pay a a professional.

yeah well its going to take a **** load of bondo to built the flares out lol. w2w has done awesome work but it costs about 8000 to get it done. but its well worth the money when you look at the quality of the work. i might be having them do my car shortley because fiberglass and bondo doesnt cut it for me and i like to use it as little as possible.

Have fun trying to get a 4 inch thick lump of body filler to stick to bare metal and not crack within the first month.

NOW, if you wanted to put flares on the front, it would be much easier. The front fenders are fiberglass, So to build a basic shape to add onto it....... sand the paint to bare fiberglass, or close....... build up the shape you want with fiberglass and a mold........ or simply using duraglass......... then FINISH with bodyfiller.

bodyfiller cannot be used to build things......... its meant to cover small blemishes on body panels, not make them.

I seen some flares for camaros about a year ago one ebay, don't know anythign about them, but they looked like pieces of plastic you somehow get to stick on all 4 fenders??? I say pay to have it done unless you are a pro at fabbing.

you can use expanding polyurethane foam and also those pre molded sheets of it. Thats what im using for my own custom wide body and i hope to pop molds off and sell them. Once you have the shape you want, you apply fiberglass resin and it becomes fiberglass. Or you can use fleece. And then finish it with kitty hair and finally plastic body filler, ANY brand but bondo!

There is a non-sponsor working on the Dick Harrell-like quarters and front fenders which are estimated to become available to the public in early 2008.

You can move out the front part of the front fender wheel lip and the rear part of the rear wheel lip to make the body look like it sticks out a little more.

I think it looks a little more aggressive, you just move the points where the body mounts to the poly/plastic body stuff out 1/2" - 3/4" in the rear by flipping over the bracket under the car and screwing it back in. on the front you remove the clip that holds the body panel to the plastic under the car and make a little flat pieces thats longer to push it out to the sides some.
