Rusted sway bar and want to paint it . . . Hi, I have a new (used) 21mm rear sway bar that has surface rust.
I planned on sanding and then priming and painting with rustoleum spray cans. How would this hold up?

prep is the key to sucess !!!! hi sand ,remove dust prime with rust oleum rusty metal primer, let dry/harden 4/5 days then paint with you favorite color paint dries in a day but 1 week to harden wait to install 12.00 tops. did mine.
