The whole rocker panel got dented in on the driver side, im going to have the car painted anyhow, but what do you think it would cost to have this fixed and how would they do it? should I do it myself with a slide hammer and bondo? its not like im a newb when it comes to body work, I just want it done right!

Run around town or wherever and see how people would fix it and what they would charge. I don't know squat about the kinda work that needs done to your car.. all i know is i'd be making my friend cough up some money! Good luck.

I would cut it out and install a new one. It is alot of work but its better than bondo. You will probably need to cut one off a junked car. That is really the eaiest way to do it.

if it is minor use a pin welder and a slid hammer on them and fill with with a good bodyfiller. If it is bad I would replace it, but even when you replace it with a new one you use bodyfiller to smooth out the welded areas.

Just from looking at your car I'd say take it to a shop, I did the bodywork on my old Sunfire was great from 3 feet out but up close the waves were apparent.
I know you want to save ur buddy some dough, but don't sacrifice your cars looks and resale, get a pro to do it right. My dad paid 3500 to have the sideskirt and rocker replaced on his benz, it looks brand new. If thats any idea of price.

is 4000 to spray the whole car and fix the damage. If it is, that is not out of line at the shop I use to work at it was like 5000-6000 grand, but it was a good size dealership. also make sure they use a good brand of paint when you take it in.
