Default Non-Blended hood....not bad.

I posted a thread earlier about getting my hood painted to match my car. So happens I'm color(shade) blind and needed some help finding the paint code of my car. Thanks to everyone who helped, it seems to match pretty well. I was worried about having a 9 year old paint job sitting next to a fresh hood, but I'm quite impressed w/ the condition of my old paint. Here is a few pictures. Sorry for the quality, just took a few quick shots before heading to work today:

Not bad for a $600 hood

****, that matches better than my "oem 1998 ws6" hood, that is red, with the rest of the car being red/orange

Looks good, I would not have guessed that it would match that close without blending.

Ya I'm about surprised as anyone. I should have clarified where I got the hood. I got in my local craigslist was selling it for $350 so I quickly jumped on the deal. I couldn't tell from the pictures, but it looked OEM, and I'm pretty sure it is one. Turns out he does his own painting and body work so he offered to paint it for an extra $250 so I thought "what the heck!". EXTREMELY happy w/ the results. I told him I was thinking about painting my car pearl white w/ the ceta gloss black and also gloss black "blackhawk" stripes on the hood and he quoted me $2500. It'll be down the road a little bit but I'm DEFINITELY going to do it

Thanks for all the compliments guys!!

Here is the picture of the hood before he painted it. Got to love the pinstriped bird on there

very nice man, heres a quick pic of the SS hood on my old car.
was gel coated, just painted red, no blending whatsoever, not bad for $125 paint, and $225 for new hood off a member here...picked up locally as well.
