How much adjusting did you do to fit it? Roger along with Tim and I took over an hour to get it to fit right. Everything needed adjusting including drilling out the hole in the hinge. The headlight doors needed alot of fudging too but finally everything looked 100%.

Ehh, I'll let the body guy deal with all that stuff. He does it for a living.

I had to do that to with the headlight covers, but they kept hitting the hood bc the front was to low when latched shut. You said you drilled out the hole in the hinge? I think I know what you are talking about but I dont know if my body shop will do this so I might have to when it gets back from paint so the front lines up evenly. Any more info. on this will be much appreciated

Did you try shimming the latch? I had to stick washers between the latch mechanism and the hood cause mine wouldn't go low enough for the latch even to catch.

Mine latches shut bc I moved the part conncected to the front of the car up all the way it could be, but its still a hair to low so im might try your idea or drill the hole out a little

That is a great looking hood, and I usually don't like aftermarket aditions to the exterior of Firebirds, let alone Trans Ams.

Roger makes bad *** hoods. I have has the WS9 outlaw and now have the superhawk and have loved both of them. Fitment was great on both hoods after a little bit of work. Superhawk still requires a little bit of fine tuning but overall best quality aftermarket hoods out there for TAs

JerseyLS1TA......Roger just enlongated the holes in the hinge. Not sure if a pic would help or not of it...if it will show what you need to see but I could take one later for you.

INMY01TA....if you adjust the rubber stoppers that may have made the hood latch so you wouldnt have had to shim the latch. We had to adjust the stoppers on mine a good number of times till it lined up right and shut properly.

Well I dropped my car at the body shop today, I will post pics when it's all done. Michelle (flam'n bird) did I read you're having trouble finding someone to paint your hood? The place doin mine here in MD does alot of work with F bodies, they had a red ws6 in the paint booth when I was there. Had a beautiful flame job they just did on it. You can see another they did in this small pic of their shop.

Yes I am having trouble and oddly enough I got a quote from that shop this weekend via email. He said he cant do just the hood and would need to redo everything ...the entire flame job to a tune of $3250! . I cant afford that. I just need the hood done so it looks at least decent.

Yeah funny huh? I was talking to Roger actually yesterday and he told me to check out EFA and that he'd remembered seeing a painter on there that everyone was using in the past. Definately can't afford to have the entire flame job redone. Sometimes I wished I never had flames

Looks really good!! Who did the work and how much did it cost? I'm going to look at mine this afternoon for the flame layout.

Jimi at True Colors did it. He did the hood, repainted the bumper and both headlight covers all for about a grand.
