Default just had hood painted....

So how long do I need to wait before I can wash and wax the car? I'm assuming I can wash it anytime, but I've heard to wait atleast 6 months before waxing the car. Any input?

When I worked at the body shop we made sure it was baked very very well and then told customers to wait ant least 10 days. I would wait a month if it was my car.

wash WHENEVER you want. Wax after about 2 months, and DONT park under trees because if bird **** gets on that paint you are fucked...that acid will crack the paint....

because "they" are using a buffing compount, not a wax. a wax will seal the paint and not allow the remaining chemicals to escape, and not allowing the paint to finish setting. 1-2 months is how long i always wait after painting parts though...
