Isnt Le Mans blue a bit darker? This looks to have a bit more green in it.

if its lemans/luxo blue metallic the code is 933L I just painted mine last week in that color, I thought the new zr1 was some special color that was thousands per quart, my friend is a PPG rep and he was telling me a little about it.

The paint your friend is referring to is the special clear coat used only on the exposed carbon fiber parts that prevents yellowing from UV exposure over time, yes it is insanely expensive.

And I would bet my life that the ZR1 pictured is Jetstream Buue Metallic Tinticoat, it has two very different looks between direct sunlight and overcast skies.

no way it costs that much, it's a $750 option on the '08 C6s right now.... unless you only need a couple of ounces to paint the car heh

its the ultra uv blocking clear coat for the little bits of exposed carbon fiber pieces that costs 60k/gallon.

as for the paint, some of porsches paints costs hundreds per quart, so if jetstream blue is really that special of a color, i can see it costing a pretty penny.

yeah the clear that goes on the carbon is rediculously expensive. its like certain wax's you see at exotic car shows where they want like 1500 for an 8 ounce bottle. but i also believe that on the corvettes they use a better clear then on the standard production cars. its a lot harder then what you would see on an impala or cobalt or something.

i also forgot to add that the zl1 prototype that was seen on barret jackson will be the only one in that color. VIN #1 that was sold is going to be the first and only zl1 that comes in lemans blue.

Looks like Marina Blue to me. I heard they are gonna have a limited run in that color.
