Default Gloss black interior paint / fiberglass

Anyone know how to do this? Could you fiberglass the console or would that stick???

yes. You can just sand, prime, sand and paint the hard plastic piece, but the arm rest piece, being soft, would need to be fiberglassed over before you could paint it gloss like that. Swat

^^^ what he said. the plastic needs to be sanded good with like 220 grit and then use an adhesion promotor before priming the console. prime it sand it. prime it again if theres still some texture. finish it in like 800 grit before painting. lay some base coat down. like 3 coats would be good sand out and dirt knibs and then lay another coat down to ensure coverage and then clear the thing with like 3 coats of clear. sand the knibs out with 1500 or 2000 depending on your skill followed by 3000 and buff to a nice shine.

completely agree. do it that way and it will look better than the paint on the exterior.

if you like it, then its worth it. thats what everyone says about my 94. i hve the car completely gutted and am doing a minor restoration on it. everyones like its just a lt1 camaro why put this money into it. well the answer is because its my car and i like it.

can you do the same with the back panels that have the speakers and the spot where your foot goes or do you think it would just coming out looking cheesy? i have tan and would love to make it black or a blue to match my racing seats.

There's a member who did that in gloss black...if I could only remember...
I don't know what his process was tho.
