$3100 for a paint job is it a good deal?
I have a 93 Trans Am that was barely hit in the front end but now it is out of line about a 1/2 inch. The company gave me a estimate of $3100 to fix and repaint the whole car. For the $3100 I supposedly get to inspect the car prior to painting to prove the body work is completed to my standards. Do you guys think that is a good deal?

Thats a good deal. Look down a few at my Dad's MCSS. He had his done for around $3200. I say go for it. Look at thier other work though before hand to see if they do a good job or not. Thats what we did. Found a few people that had thiers done at the same shop we went too and we were satisfied. Good Luck!

that's a fair deal if they do good work. we have a **** ton of auto body shops here in charlotte, NC and you would think they would be cheap due to so much competition but noooooope.
like Ntimid said earlier, find other work done by them or ask them to browse their shop and see if you like what they do. that's also really nice that they offered to allow you to look at the work before paint so you can actually see how they repaired it. sounds like an honest shop.

I looked at a ten cars they worked on and they all looked really nice. They are working on a 67 mustang and it was really nice as well. I just did not know if that was a good price or not. Thanks guys. I will post pics of before and after.

Down where I live that would be too much. A good full paint job from a good shop I know will cost about $2,000. That of course just for repainting a car not doing body work from a collision or something.

I agree! Most shops charge around $85/hour for labor. So paint, supplies and labor for $3100 is fairly inexpensive.

That's pretty good. I was once quoted $3300 to paint everything but the roof on an Escort and replace one fender and the bumper.
