I did some real rearranging on this one, but it still has that Trans Am feel to it. It's a front engine design. I could probably stretch the front out more and still look good.

It looks better than a vette. I'd say more like the Ferrari 599.

Here's a quick longer wheelbase version.

actually, mounting the motor there would qualify as a front, MID engine.

dont bash me for the short time i photoshopped this in. just trying to help out.

looks bad, I say you should build it and shut the haters up. The one you posted above with the front stretched out looks like teh damn bat mobile. The *** is too long, and spoiler a tad too high. I went ahead and shaved the lock and handle, shortened the *** up and made the spoiler shorter. I think in mine the spoiler is too short or somehow doesnt look right.

The pic with the 3 vents looks good! Put a splitter and side exhaust on it and you got yourself a mercedes SLR

The picture with the 3 vents isn't actually any longer than the pic with 2 vents. I just made the front wheels smaller and moved the axle forward.

These cars are close to that but are off by maybe 8 inches. My picture isn't exact. I know the steering rack is under the front lip of the oil pan and the rack is 5 or 6 inches in front of the axle line.

Pininfarina is the group that does all those amazing body style for Ferarri and others. I'd love see what they can do with 98+ body style. It would be money.

In the name of efficiency and saving some money I think I found 2 main mods that will get me close to where I want to be.

First, buy a convertible donor car and lower the back just a little and the front a lot. Sort of like this:

[IMG][/IMG]

Then I can drive it for a while.

Part 2 would be to lean the windshield back, cut the side glass and build a fiberglass roof. Similar to this:

I think that looks pretty badass. I wasn't sure I could cut the front window, but I think I found a technique.

I know it's not as radical as my earlier ideas, but I'm more likely to do this than the full tube chassis. What do you think?

Much better.

Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of your other ideas and they were very cool - but they were very complicated and would require a heavy build and a big budget.

But, if you got the budget and time - go for it!
