Default OEM GM 3.73 ring and pinion

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $70
Location (State): NY
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped

I'm selling a GM OEM 3.73 ring and pinion set for a 10 bolt. I bought it for my Camaro and never installed it. I'm getting married next month and can't afford to have it installed any time soon. I don't know much about it other than it came out of a Camaro and is in great shape. $70 shipped anywhere in the lower 48..........SOLD...............

My understanding is that you would need a spacer to use any gears higher than 3.08:1 with a 2 series carrier. So it is possible but you'd have to buy the spacer as well.

^^ Not unless the gears were built for a 2 series carrier, IIRC. If they were built for a 2 series, they will install right in. If they were built for a 3 series, a spacer will be needed.

That's true but did GM ever make a 3.73 gear for a 2 series? I think that is only available aftermarket and this is an OEM part.

is there anything stamped on them that may help to show if they are meant for a 2 or 3 series carrier

Well, on Thursday the Camaro was rear-ended by a truck at a red light and slammed into another truck that was stopped in front of it so this set definitely isn't going in now. Any takers?
