Default Vengeance ported Fast 92 intake

Category: Engine - Intake/Fuel
Price: $700
Part Fits: 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro, 93-02 Pontiac Firebird, Corvette, 04-06 Pontiac GTO, 04+ Cadillac CTS-V
Location (State): FL
Item Condition: Used
Engine: LS1/LS6
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

SOLD

Need funds for the replacement LS3 motor. I wasn't planning to disassemble the LS1 until we swapped accessories, but things are a little tighter than I expected.

Intake is still on the car and a little dirty. Includes Fast gaskets and all mounting bolts. Does not include button-head bolts for valley cover (because Vengeance did not give me back my OEM valley cover bolts) nor the throttle body & bolts.

Asking $700 + shipping/packaging. New Fast LSXR 102 from Vengeance is $899, + ~$150 to port.

Does not include the 4-bolt 90mm TB nor the TB bolts, as I am re-using it on my LS3 intake.

I can easily get the installed pics today, but if you want pics of the ports/porting it'll be later this weekend.

Intake is off the car. Photos in album link below...

album

I lost my allen wrench probably in the k-member area after getting the intake and TB off. I want to inlcude the button head valley cover bolts also, but at this time I haven't found a method to remove them without the allen wrench. I was able to remove the remainder of the TB bolts with a regular screwdriver, but I don't think the screwdriver will fit under the cowl. Obviously don't want to damage them.

I cleaned up the exterior of the intake a little, hard to clean all the little exterior orifices. Did not attempt to clean the inside at all nor to separate the intake so the seal would be fine.

Might be a bit tough to sell at that price, even though it's ported, as a couple different ls1tech sponsors are currently selling the FAST 102 for $800 shipped. It's tough to compete with that ridiculously cheap pricing.

I found sponsors selling unported Fast intakes in these price ranges:

Fast 90(1): $1000
Fast 92(3): $820-$949
Fast LSXR LS1/LS6 (7): $800-$950

Here's a link comparing a ported Fast 92 vs. a ported Fast 102:

Comparison1

That's a 9rwhp/6rwtq gain. Good porting typically costs at least $200. So add that $200 onto the price of the new Fast 102 to get those limited gains on a similar vehicle. I wouldn't think an additonal $300+ ($800 intake, $200+ to port - $700 used 92) for those sort of gains is worth the extra $300 for most people.

Here's a link comparing an unported Fast 92 to a ported Fast 92, where the ported version gained 26rwhp and 14rwtq:

Comparison2

Here's another link comparing a LS6 intake to a ported Fast 92, gained 23rwhp and 20rwtq:

Comparison 3

I've called a few sponsors and they seem to think this price is a steal. *shrug*

ok you have a link where a ported 92 vs unported 92 gained 26hp 14tq and then one where a ported 92 vs an ls6 gained only 23hp and 20tq

i think you should have left all that out fast intakes sell them selfs yours is a great price someone will buy it. but there was an mti ported on that just sold for 600 shipped so it may take a few days to sell.

While I want to sell the intake for a reasonable price, I don't want people to assume they'll get identical results. Those links are two separate vehicles with different sets of mods on two different dynos.

Yeah I was disappointed, but probably 95% of the people who responded said I had set my expectations too high. As mentioned in my original post, I'm replacing it with a (hand built) LS3.

Would it cost more to do the LS3 setup, can you still use your old parts?

LS3 uses rectangular ports, this intake is cathedral ports. There are other threads which detail what can be kept, but I'd like to upgrade three items from stock in the new motor, and need funds generated from the old motor to do so.
