What is so benificial about having an alluminum driveshaft anyhow! I have my stock driveshaft that has been in my car sence 1994. Just curious if I should swap and if so what is good about doing this. I have brand new U joint's for my driveshaft sense I have it out right now to install my BMR "components"! Maybe I should pick one up from you guys!

I thought it was a bigger difference than that. Anyways, its not just dead weight either, its rotating mass.
Be careful though, if your making a good bit of power, you could snap it.

you might want to look into getting a custom built aluminum shaft for your app. with that kinda power, you might end up snapping one off, then it ends up beating the S%*$ out of the under side of your car

****, I didn't realize that the stock one wouldn't handle it either! I was thinking hell slap some new U-joints in it and I'll be good! Maybe I should install a driveshaft loop to be safe and try it out??? Any suggestions where to buy one? Is it just a matter of measureing one end to the other or what? Never really messed with this portion of the car! I know the motor portion and that's about it! Not scared to tackle it though! I have an angle finder for when I slap the BMR components in as well, will this affect the length I need to buy or not? Thanks guys!
