They can help you out. The product has virtually 100% resale value. Now with the new pricing structure, you can't beat it.

MC, I disagree. For those who want a one year model version for under $500, buying a used setup would be an excellent option. Then if that person who sold it ever wanted to repurchase, they would still be buying it for the same original price ($500, minus what they sold their first setup for) and be getting an upgraded package. Either way you'll be running VCM suite pro(as long as the guy who bought the used setup can still get major software updates, or bought it already updated to v1.5).

I don't know about the rest of the HPT customers before the price changes, but I wouldn't sell mine for anything less than maybe $450 (I have the EIO version, regular price $650). Then it would enable me to buy a new EIO cable with 2 models for only $200 more than what I sold mine for. What is the point? I can just spend $200 right now to get the 2nd vehicle type added with no tax or shipping charges added. So unless you're willing to get ripped off on your old cable, it's not worth it.

MC....if you're going back to EIO again, you're right, its totally not worth it to sell. But if you're just lookin to get into tuning, and you don't mind not having the latest and greatest....picking up a used one vehicle type copy of HPTuners from someone who might have totalled/sold their car, wouldn't be such a bad option.
