My LS2 is not healthy
About a week ago I made a few nitrous pulls all the way through 3rd gear...about 140. The car did not miss a beat and ran great. When I got off the highway I smelt some oil burning. Turned out I blew the dipstick out and oil went everywhere. Car ran fine the rest of the 30 minute drive home. Not sure why the the crankcase pressurized enough to blow out the dipstick. The only thing I can think of is that I have a lot of blow-by or my pcv setup is not doing the job. Basically, my pcv setup consists of one autozone breather tee'ed into both valve covers. As for the blow-by look below.
So the next day I went out and hosed down the engine bay to clean it up. Later that night I took the car out and it was stuttering/missed under part throttle until it got hot. I figured that something must of got wet and it would clear up...which it did once it got warm.
I've driven the car about 3 more times and it still runs like *** when its cold. Idles great and still pulls hard at wot. Part throttle it misses though.
So I pulled the plugs and did a compression check. All the plugs look good and the compression numbers were at 185 except for one was at 175. This one was like that months ago too. I also ohm'ed out the plug wires and they all checked good. The oil looks fine and so does the coolant. Does not smoke or burn any oil that I've seen.
Tomorrow I'm going to hook up the scanner and see which cylinder is misfiring. I also plan to clean the maf sensor...sng's. As of right now the only thing I could think of is a coil pack going bad or I need new wires.
Any other ideas??
Before running the scanner I loaded my n/a tune back into the car...I wanted to eliminate a possible problem with my n20 tune. Ran the scanner on the n/a tune and the car was running fine again!!
Looked at my n2o tune and come to find out, I forgot to disable ve like I did in my n/a tune.
As for the dipstick blowing out..I'm going to do a breather filter for EACH valve cover instead of tee'ing both covers to one tiny *** breather that is probably dirty...

I doubt there is broken piston at this point. All the plugs looked brand new. If something came off a piston then the plug would atleast show some kind of impact.
