Default Tuning for Transmission Pressure

I have EFI live and I'm looking at upping my line pressure about 5% across the board and was wondering what table to use for ajustment? I'm new to this tuning stuff so try to go easy on me. I was told there is 3 ways in the tune to do this but only one way is the right way. Can anyone help me out!?

If you want to increase pressure only during each shift, then increase D0701,2,3.

Or you could increase D0704,6,8 on the rows that are your operating temperature.

If you want to increase pressure all across, then decrease D3801; in this case, use a pressure gauge on the line tap on the side of the case to verify the increase.

Vacumn modulation is way behind the times and the only reason it is used is for incompetent tuners.

So what makes +5% the magic number? This is
the kind of thing you ought to be asking yourself.
Changing stuff across the board like that doesn't
seem like a thought-out strategy to me.

Name the shops that you and your buds got the builds at?

Ive pumped 60-70 bottles of spray and ~60-80 passes down the 1/4 over the last 3 years on my FLT... My bud has done the same with his 402 stroked TA...

Get it done right, call FLT.

Have you tried changing your VSS table/up the rev limiter a little, etc? When adding power or chaning things up, I dont know a car that hasnt needed some tweaking in the trans. Mine bounced off the rev limiter a few times when I first put it in, I just tuned it out.

Sometimes simple (read: older) technology just works better. I think that is the case for using a vacuum modulator to control line pressure on a performance 4L60E transmission. Some say adjusting line pressure is okay, but I've never been a fan of that. My original trans had 63K miles and over 130 track runs without a problem. TM was completely removed and all line pressures were left stock, only the shift speeds were adjusted. I now run a FLT vacuum mod trans and have zero problems with it. It shifts so much better around town and at the track. No comparison imo.

Yea, i just adjusted my trans a little and now its fine.

Even back when i was completely stock and added just a verter, i had to adjust it then too.

I hate to pop your bubble there waterbug but the only reason why FLT believes in the vacumn modulation is it takes the incompetent tuner out of the loop. This way they can ensure that the tuner is not responsible for trashing a brand new build. You know how I know all this? All my hard parts in my trans and tollerances are from FLT. And by the way, Performabuild doesn't believe in vacumn modulation either if you read about their builds.

Not trying to get into a pissing match with anyone over this because some swear by it and some not so much. I am not so much since it is rather older then the hills technology. I believe as my builder does that a well built trans with the right line pressures that do not fall off is a key to the survival of the 3-4 clutches. Electronics is slightly faster then mechanics not? I am just trying to make my trans survive under the highhorsepower conditions that I throw at it and a 4L80E is not an option on a rather heavy street car allready. I'm not saying 5% across the board is the answer I'm looking for but I just wanted to know how in the tune this could be done. All the high name builders that don't use vacumn modulation if the customer doesn't want it also turn the force motor screw internally a 1/4 turn clockwise, which does inturn add 5% pressure across the board. So if this is correct what do they know that we don't??

this is the thread i been waiting for i think i would go with vaccum modulated because the computer in our cars ain't **** .

another question my car keep breaking 3-4 gear the line pressure is tight because of the servo the builder told me but it still went out for the 5th time if i use modulated would this atleast help?
