Default Need help car picking up knock from 2,000 to 2,500

My car is a 98 Z28 with only a 03 Z06 cam I'm tuning it with hp tuners and with a stock tune it runs really smooth besides from 2,000 to 2,500 rpm it wants to pickup knock and retard the timing a lot causing it to run shitty, but only between that 500 rpm range. I have a wide band and it isn't going lean I didn't know if I should make my knock sensors less sensitive or not all help is appreciated thanks

Small base circle cam, correct? If so, you got the longer pushrods? Do they spin with little effort when the valves are closed? Just thinking out loud here.

The push rod length is correct it is like it is picking detonation and retarding the timing

Halve the attack rate, double the decay rate and get an idea of
how much knock really is there.

With more cam and maybe a defeated EGR (?) you may want to
take EGR advance table to 0 if you haven't.
