Default Intermittent problem: ABS INOP, BRAKE, and TCS off lights.

It seems to do it more after I have turned off the TCS.

Sometimes it won't.

Story is this, driving the car all of a sudden all three of the above lights will come on, and stay on until I shut the car off.

It seems to happen less than 2 minutes after I turn off TCS, I did catch it once, and it seems like the TCS light comes on first?

I hooked the car up to our Modus at work, and it gives me the code ECBM failure (Forgot actuall code number)

Any suggestions? Other than buy a new one? haha

I did a test drive with my friend holding the modus and watching the ABS feedback screen, and each sensor on each wheel was working properly.

Chris

BTW: this is a 99 T/A M6

I am having the same problem.

One person said he had his tire size corrected by a tuner and it fixed the problem.

My car was tuned in Il., I live in Tx.

Does a tuner need to do this or is another way of doing it?

My car won't pass inspection with this problem.I need help fast.

Hmmm....I never thought of that!!

I did go from a 255/40/18 to a 275/35/18, but I just kinda thought it was close enough to not really matter.

Different size tires front and rear will cause it once you reach a certain speed, I'm guessing it depends on how much of a difference between the front and rear there is. Mine did it when I hit 50mph, anything under that the lights never came on.

I'm having the same problem with my '02 Z28 and am going to send out my EBCM to have it rebuilt for around $160. You can still drive your car while the module is out for repair.

Some more info in this thread here...

I sent the EBCM out of my 2002 Camaro to be rebuilt by a company out in Idaho for $160. I reinstalled it in my car over a week ago and it has resolved the problem, no more intermittent ABS/TRAC/BRAKE lights coming on the dash.

It's fairly easy to remove the EBCM ABS module and you can drive your car with it removed, you simply won't have ABS or Traction control while it's removed.
