Default Rear o2 readiness tests not completing.

So I have a catless 06 GTO with a custom hp tuners tune that I'm working on and I want to disable the rear o2 sensor codes so that the readiness tests complete. I've read around here and the hp tuners forum and it seems like the way to do it is to set the codes to 'enabled' by checking off the box and then '3 - no error reported'

I have gone thru all the 'sensor 2' codes in my tune and put them to just that, but no matter what I do or how much I drive, the Oxygen Sensor and Oxygen Sensor Heater tests are not completing. I daily drive this car to work and back 50 miles round trip, with at least 2 cold starts (ect in the 40* range) 5 days a week...so I definitely drive enough to complete the GM drive cycle thingy.

So what I am doing wrong here? I read that if done correctly, those 2 tests will instantly go to ready after the car is started, no need to go thru that drive cycle...but I cannot do that.

Codes that I disabled: 36, 54, 56, 60, 136, 137, 138, 140, 141, 156, 157, 158, 160, 161

You would want to clear the check box of the ones that you disabled. I've never had a problem with mine..that give me an excuse to go do some logging

no he doesn't; readiness will not set for related items if you do this.

Never thought about that...it makes sense though.

Any other ideas? If I can't figure this out then I'm going to have to throw on a pair of high flow cats and plug back in the rear sensors.

Will the rear sensors work like normal with high flow and relocated cats if I chose to go down that route?

Default you're almost there

I had the same problem with my 01. Dang Texas changed from allowing 2 NOT READY to only 1. Because the custom os has semi-closed loop operation, the PCM never really goes into closed loop, therefore both front and rear O2s never go ready and the EVAP system never goes ready. EFILive is a little different, but to fix it the concept is the same. Leave the MIL/NO MIL setting stock, and change the DTC processing to "X-Not Reported". Next time you start the car the readiness codes should say READY immediately. I updated my tune and drove 3 miles to the inspection station and passed with flying colors.

Update on this...still cannot get my o2 sensor statuses to go ready. On another note, another guy with the same exact mods as me (catless LTs) passed state inspection, and I looked at his tune...he has the 3 - No Error Reported in his rear o2 sensor codes...but he has the checkbox unmarked and has all of his statuses as complete.

Try setting the front sensors to no error reported as well and report back.

Ah good call, makes sense that o2 sensor readiness tests include front sensors also, not just the back ones. Will try that.
